      Description: We invite you to take your seat under the Oregon summer sky and join the thousands of people for an evening of diverse, quality entertainment. The blanket area, food vendors, children’s art activities, and the beer garden open at 5:30pm. All concerts begin at 7pm unless noted on the website.     • Let's Go Camping

      Description: Oregon Parks and Recreation Department brings you Let's Go Camping! It is a fun-filled weekend camping experience for families new to camping. For families without their own equipment, we provide tent, sleeping bags, sleeping bag liners, mattress pads and use of a camp stove for the weekend at no cost. Lots of fun activities for parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren. 12 weekend events scheduled at various state parks. Campers can choose to arrive on Friday afternoon after 4 p.m. or by 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. Events end by noon on Sunday. One vehicle allowed per family.
      Very secure event with ranger-led activities, staff member and trained volunteers on hand to assist you around the clock. These events have been very popular with single parents, families on a budget and seniors. Cost for the ENTIRE FAMILY IS ONLY $30 for the weekend. Registrations open on March 4 on weekdays during business hours. Call 1-888-953-7677 to register and/or for more information. Families bring their own food (we send a list of suggested food etc.) but we typically provide Dutch oven biscuits on Saturday morning, all the s'mores makings for everyone to enjoy around the campfire Saturday night and Dutch oven cinnamon rolls on Sunday morning.
      Register early before the spots are gone. Only one registration allowed. Please, no pets, alcohol or electronic games. Come have fun, make some great memories with your family outdoors, and LET’S GO CAMPING!

    • "Older Americans Day"

      Location: 5353 Columbus Street Southeast, Albany, Oregon
      Description: We at Mennonite Village invite you to join us to celebrate men and women age 55 and greater and the many ways in which they enrich our communities. We organize this free, public event on our campus to bring attention to the issues that affect elder adults. Our theme is "Working Together for Strong, Healthy, and Supportive Communities," which speaks to the opportunities we have to create better care, reinforce healthier lifestyles, and improve overall quality of life.

      The day's events, thanks to our generous sponsors, will be free of charge and open to people of all ages and faiths. Shuttle buses will transport guests from our parking area to Lakeside Center throughout the event.

      Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, AVENUE Q is part flesh, part felt, and packed with heart. AVENUE Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life (Musical Theater International, 2012).

The new location allows you to spread out a blanket to really enjoy the evening in the park without as much road noise to interfere with the movie!
